1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how SnowCoder ("Company," "we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our services (collectively, the "Services").

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which provides more information about how we process personal data.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to:

  • Make websites work properly
  • Remember your preferences
  • Provide security features
  • Analyze how websites are used
  • Personalize your experience

2.1 Types of Cookies

By Duration:

  • Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser
  • Persistent Cookies: Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them

By Origin:

  • First-Party Cookies: Set by the website you are visiting
  • Third-Party Cookies: Set by other services (e.g., analytics, security providers)

3. Cookies We Use

3.2 Analytics Cookies (Optional — require your consent)

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They are only set if you accept analytics in our cookie banner.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration Type

sn_session Anonymous session identifier (resets after 30 minutes of inactivity) 30 minutes (sliding) Session, first-party

The data we associate with these cookies is described in Section 3.3. Your IP address is hashed with a random salt before storage and is never retained in raw form.

3.3 Analytics Data We Collect

If you accept analytics, we record the following data for each pageview:

  • The page path, page title, and the page that referred you
  • UTM parameters in the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content)
  • Approximate location (country, region, city) derived from your IP address by Cloudflare
  • The autonomous system (network operator) your IP belongs to
  • A salted SHA-256 hash of your IP address (we never store the raw IP)
  • Your browser, operating system, and device type, parsed from the User-Agent header
  • How long you spent on the page and how far down the page you scrolled

This data is stored in our Cloudflare D1 database and is used to analyse website performance and marketing effectiveness. It is not shared with third parties except those listed in Section 4.

3.4 Local Storage Preferences
